Welcome back dungeon crawlers,
We have another update for the companion site and this one was itching in the back of my head since day one.
When I first released the site it was only using my own data. That was bugging me already and @cherokee4life felt exactly the same
And yeah… he was right. I could not just leave it like that.
It was sitting on the shelf for a few days because I had to update some Splinterlands tools after the latest Escalation release. But now it is here and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

What Changed For You
From the outside it is actually very simple.
You can now:
- Track your own progress locally
- Sync your discovered data
- Contribute missing data to the community collection
So if you discover something that is not yet in the shared dataset it will automatically be uploaded to the community store when you sync.
Nothing fancy. Nothing over engineered.
How It Works
I did not want to make this super complicated.
- There is no heavy database setup.
- No DB migration to worry.
- No complex backend structure.
It is basically a simple JSON comparison.
Your local discovered data gets compared with the community dataset.
If something is missing it gets added.
That is it.
And since the project is fully open source you can always check what is stored and how it works.

New Sync Button
When you log in and go to the Undiscovered page you will now see a sync button.
Important note:
This is still pretty basic and only tested with my own data so far. If you hit rate limits or strange errors please let me know so I can fine tune the process.

When you press sync you will see the progress happening.
Small request here.
Please be gentle and stay on the page while it runs. I have not tested what happens if you leave mid sync but I assume the process will cancel.
Also you can only sync once per hour.

Also note that on the my progression tab, you will also see how many you have killed:

Community Data Without Login
Even if you are not logged in you can still view the community collected data.
So everyone benefits from shared discoveries.
