⚡️ Yesterday evening, the largest exchange in terms of daily trading - Binance - suspended the withdrawal of funds due to a successful hacker attack.
On May 7, at 5:15:24 PM (UTC), unknown intruders gained access to the traders' personal information — their API keys, 2FA codes, and possibly other user data. As a result, hackers were able to withdraw 7000 BTC in a single transaction worth more than $40.5 million.
Binance uses #SAFU to fully cover the damages associated with this incident. User assets will remain unharmed.
