Empowering the Next Generation: Outreach to Secondary School Students
On Monday the 24th of February,2025 my team and I embarked on an outreach mission to GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOL OGBA, a local secondary school in Nasarawa Eggon LGA of Nasarawa State Nigeria. Our objective was multifaceted: to share the message of Jesus, educate students on health and wellness, and introduce them to the world of Web3 blockchain, specifically the Hive ecosystem.

Acknowledged and Welcoming.
Upon arrival to the school, the students were well sent in their beautiful uniforms. We went straight to the Principal office who we have earlier met weeks before our coming. He and his staff welcomed us and after which we went to the hall were the principal MR ARUWA IKO, introduced us to the students, then gave us the opportunity to carry out the reasons why we came.
I stood up, observed every protocol established and i introduced the guys who were with me.
- Mr Danjuma Paul
- Miss Faith Manga
- Miss faith Isaac
- Mr. Shedrach Amos Abene
- Mr. Sunday Umbugadu
- Mr. Liman Ayaka Agbu
And there where numerous number of staffs from the school who participated with us too.

Spreading the Message of Faith and Wellness.
We began by sharing the message of Jesus with the students, emphasizing the importance of faith and values in their lives. We then delved into health education, highlighting the need for proper care and attention to their physical and mental well-being. This session was handled by Paul Danjuma fondly call REVO, Ayaka Liman,Faith Isaac who is a nurse took the health talk respectively.

Addressing Peculiar Needs.
To ensure that each student received personalized attention, we separated the male and female students for an exclusive session. Our facilitators addressed topics specific to each gender, providing a safe and supportive environment for discussion. Topics like overcoming peer pressure, Effects of Discrimination among students, overcoming procrastination and many others.
Empowering Education
As part of our outreach, we distributed educational materials, including books and pads, to the students. We made a conscious effort to prioritize the female students, recognizing the unique challenges they face in accessing these essential resources. This small gesture aimed to promote equality, empower their education, and foster a love for learning.
Introducing Web3 Blockchain and Hive
In our final session, I introduced the students to the concept of Web3 blockchain, Being and member for few months now. Having participated and engage in the hive community, i highlighting its relevance and potential to empower their financial futures. We focused on the Hive ecosystem, exploring its features, benefits, and opportunities for growth and financial freedom. The students were fascinated and happy by the prospect of leveraging blockchain technology to improve their financial literacy and independence which we hope to introduce some of them here after they receive training and coaching from my boss and teacher here on the hive blockchain @ovey10 .
Conclusion
Our outreach mission was a resounding success, with students engaging enthusiastically in each session. Many of the students received the message of the gospel preached to them. We're grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on these young minds and look forward to future collaborations. By empowering the next generation with knowledge, faith, and financial literacy, we can create a brighter future for all.
