It was a gloomy, showery, overcast summer's day here in the Northern Rivers today. It was unseasonably cool too. At around 21-22 degrees celcius, I went for a pair a jeans instead of the customary shorts at this time of year.
The swell has been up the past few days, so I attached the telephoto lens to the camera and drove up the road to the North Wall at Iluka.
I got a few decent shots, although the weather wasn't great and I had to retreat from the breakwall to the car at one point as a heavy shower approached. I waited awhile in the car listening to one of my favourite podcasts, The Higherside Chats, until the shower passed and I could venture back out.
There were a couple of decent wipeouts while I was there.
