This is the largest overriding question in my every action as a person and as a parent: ethics.
I want to raise my kids to consider their actions within a framework of ethics that we formulate for ourselves, not one that's pre-fabricated.
That is not to take away from those frameworks in place, per se... but I'd rather develop the framework within the scope of our family and our collective experience, thus far.
Being someone who, and raising children who consider our actions in the moment and within our worldview is of the utmost importance to me. Every decision we make has a ricochet effect that we may or may not be able to grasp. I'd like to slow down life's pace enough to make a conscious decision at each fork in the road.
