A Birthday "Promise"

A couple of months ago when my boss celebrated his 50th birthday @ghie16 and I went cake hunting and found ourselves at this fancy bakeshop at the Galleria Mall in Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. Of course, we ended up not buying the cake there since it was over our budget alloted for the cake.

My birthday was in a few days so she said we'll go back there for my birthday.

and so we did..

9th April. My special day. We got on the move as soon as I reached the office (I know, I know. Cheeky me.). We drove to the Al Maryah Island and headed to the Galleria Mall for this very hearty breakfast treat.

These and a lot more on their breakfast menu.

Wanting to get a taste of variety of their menu, we each ordered the Magnolia Full Pan Breakfast for AED 45 ($12). In it, there's egg (poached, scrambled.. Your choice), beef bacon, halloumi, mushrooms, potatoes, cherry tomatoes and toast.

The food was served on a cast iron skillet pan and boy it was heavy! Lol.

I paired mine with Americano coffee and Whew, fantastic breakfast!

But of course we also have to try their infamous carrot cake...

For AED 28 ($7.60), we got ourselves a big slice of this yummy carrot cake. Actually, our breakfast pan was so filling, we were not able to eat the cake. We brought it back to the office.

The Ambience

The place is so cozy. It is a nice place for your breakfast meeting with a client perhaps.

There were already a couple of tables around us with customers having business meetings considering that just within the mall vicinity is the Abu Dhabi Global Market Authority and other offices as well.

The Experience

It was nice to have such a lavish breakfast on my special day. Though price-wise, you would not want to do this frequently especially if you are like me who is just a modest earning expat. ☺️

I'd say come here for special occasions and you will not be disappointed.
