Salvador Dali's 80 watercolors for the Divine Comedy - stunning exhibition in Rome
Of course, I could not miss this unique and unrepeatable event that the Infantry Museum in Rome organized. A great exhibition on the great artist Salvador Dali founder of the artistic current of Surrealism.
I found myself in front of Dali's fantastic paintings, sculptures and engravings but especially the wonderful and dreamlike watercolors illustrating the Divine Comedy in the imaginary journey that Dante takes.
Salvador Dali puts us in front of the three parts, of the monumental work, hell, purgatory and heaven. of the monumental work, illustrated in watercolor with his style, imaginative, ironic and surreal.
I want to point out that the watercolor illustrations for the Divine Comedy were commissioned from the Catalan artist by the Italian government, which in 1950 commemorated the 700th anniversary of the birth of the supreme poet, Dante Alighieri.
I emphasize that I had the great opportunity to be able to photograph the works with my cell phone without anyone around because I am an art history teacher and got preferential treatment.
Some of the photos have reflections due to the protective glass of the works.

80 acquarelli di Salvador Dalì per la Divina Commedia - mostra sbalorditiva a Roma
Certo, non potevo mancare a questo evento unico ed irripetibile che il Museo della Fanteria di Roma ha organizzato. Una mostra grandiosa sul grande artista Salvador Dalì fondatore della corrente artistica del Surrealismo.
Mi sono trovato davanti ai fantastici dipinti, sculture ed incisioni di Dalì ma soprattutto ai meravigliosi e onirici acquarelli che illustrano la Divina Commedia nel viaggio immaginario che Dante compie.
Salvador Dalì ci mette davanti alle tre parti, dell'opera monumentale, Inferno, Purgatorio e Paradiso. dell'opera monumentale, illustrate ad acquarello con il suo stile, immaginifico, ironico e surreale.
Voglio precisare che le illustrazioni ad acquarello per la Divina Commedia furono commissionate all'artista catalano dal governo italiano che nel 1950 commemorava il 700° anniversario della nascita del sommo poeta, Dante Alighieri.
Sottolineo che ho avuto la grande opportunità di poter fotografare le opere con il mio cellulare senza nessuno intorno perchè sono un insegnante di storia dell'arte ed ho avuto un trattamento preferenziale.
Alcune foto presentano dei riflessi a causa dei vetri di protezione delle opere.
