Reflections of light on stone - watercolors on paper

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a very technical watercolor painting where I highlighted the beauty of the light flooding the stones of an ancient foreshortening. The green plants I painted emphasize the strokes of light on them by alternating dark greens with light greens. I highlighted the many building stones that take on different colors depending on the light level. I darkened some areas to give a sharp contrast between light and shadow on the wooden support beams as well.

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un dipinto ad acquarello molto tecnico dove ho messo in evidenza la bellezza della luce che inonda le pietre di un antico scorcio. Le piante verdi che ho dipinto enfatizzano i colpi di luce su di esse alternando verdi scuri ai verdi chiari. Ho evidenziato le numerose pietre di costruzione che assumono colori differenti a secondo del livello luminoso. Ho scurito alcune zone per dare un contrasto deciso tra luce e ombra anche sulle travi portanti in legno.
