Glimpse of life in the village - watercolors on paper

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. No sea today, in the sense that the watercolor subject I am sharing is a glimpse of a typical Tuscan village in Italy. I thought of representing a corner of life in this village, with all the characteristic elements of medieval villages. So I stood under a Roman stone arch and observed the street, perhaps the main one, with two parallel rows of trees on either side. I inserted a fountain and the inevitable fortification tower typical of defensive walls. I painted a rather vivid sky to highlight the color contrasts with the ochres of the houses.

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi niente mare, nel senso che il soggetto ad acquarello che condivido è uno scorcio di un tipico paesino toscano in Italia. Ho pensato di rappresentare un angolo di vita in questo paese, con tutti gli elementi caratteristici dei borghi medievali. Così mi sono messo sotto ad un arco romano in pietra ed ho osservato la via, forse principale, con due file parallele di alberi ai lati. Ho inserito una fontana e l'immancabile torrione di fortificazione tipico delle mura difensive. Ho dipinto un cielo piuttosto vivo per evidenziare i contrasti cromatici con gli ocra delle case.
