Place of peace - watercolours on paper

Hello everyone Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a landscape inspired by Romanticism, a subject I am discussing at school with my pupils. The love of nature is a staple of Romantic painters and I wanted to create a subject that interprets their strong feelings towards it. So I thought of representing a pond where contemplation and peace hover. I also included some remnants of ancient architecture such as a keep that stands out amidst nature.

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un paesaggio ispiratomi dal Romanticismo, argomento che sto trattando a scuola con i miei alunni. L'amore per la natura è un caposaldo dei pittori romantici ed io ho voluto realizzare un soggetto che ne interpreti i sentimenti forti verso di essa. Così ho pensato di rappresentare un laghetto dove aleggia la contemplazione e la pace. Ho inserito anche alcuni resti di architetture antiche come un torrione che campeggia tra la natura.
