Our First Garden Activity in 2026..

Hello Hiveans!! Hello Plant Lovers!!

I'm lucky to have the full support of both my daughter and my husband in gardening. We all love to do it, though.

Last January 1, 2026, we agreed to spend our morning time in the garden.
I got some ornamental plants from my younger sister a week ago, and most of them are snake plants.

We only saved a little of our plants from typhoon Tino and from the flood, but I'm still happy that we were able to save some of them, like the guava we personally grew from its seeds and the kalamansi too. And also the guyabano, which was given by my inaanak sa kasal. As you remember, we just planted them in a water gallon because our yard in the city is cemented.

So here they are now starting to look so lively and happy because they are already planted directly in the soil, so they can now freely breathe and grow.

We saved some of my orchids, too. It's just sad that we lost a lot of my beloved plants due to the flood. 😥

However, I am also happy that we're already in the countryside now. We can properly plant many kinds of plants here, like ornamental plants, vegetables, and fruit-bearing trees. I can't wait to see our guava, guyabano, and kalamansi to bear some fruit already. 😄

Well, let's go back to my orchids, we put and planted them in a bamboo, and I love looking at them that way. I hope they will grow healthy and bloom some flowers soon.

My daughter insisted on helping in digging the soil out of excitement and curiosity, which led her to hurt her palms...heheh

But she said it doesn't matter because she enjoyed what she did.

For the snake plants and some ornamental plants, we just temporarily planted them in between the bamboos and will transfer them in front of the house when it's already cleared of the grasses.

We're still waiting for the gardener to help us remove some grass in front and on the other side of the house. We don't have any garden tools to do it, and it's still kinda hard for us to do it, too.

The kids can only help us in removing softer grasses and weeds, so we just do whatever we can to clean and improve the garden little by little for now.

Our next project is to make a garden plot for the seeds we bought from the city, maybe within this week, and I promise to update you on our garden activity soon.

We got some moringa leaves and lemon grass from the garden. The caretaker planted them before and we left them as they are...

I'll just end it here for now and see you in my next blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and God bless..🙂🙏💖
