Hello guys,
This is my #introduceyourself post.
I am Decio, Master’s Student in Accounting and end up being here after long time wondering about cryptocurrencies investments. I would basically spend hours listening to podcasts to understand Bitcoin, tradings, block-chains, mining, etc. As time now is approaching to the end of my Master’s degree, one thing was pumping in my head: “My thesis will be related to cryptocurrency investments!”
Weeks later, I found out on Meet-up in Dublin, about a Steem group that attend to this regular monthly meetings to raise discussions of any matters about this “Social Media” and even not knowing anything about this, I decided to join them back in April this year.

I found out about Steemit, its use, how it basically works - I admit I was pretty lost amongst all the conversation going on the table - But I was astonished about it and I wanted to make part of it! Furthermore, I want to investigate about them and write my thesis upon it.
So here I am! 3 months later many things happened: I subscribed to Steemit, lost my password, lost my first account (even though I read extensive advices about keeping and reminding passwords). I then needed to set up another phone number to create another account - which I am currently using now - and did a lot of bibliography research and literature review so far.
Now I am #introducingmyself and starting to interact within here. My thesis will investigate the participants of Steem and, therefore, I would love to hear of anyone interested in sharing some introductory ideas with me of their own experiences in here, things like:
What motivates you to use Steemit? financial rewards?
If so, can you make good amount of cash from Steem rewards? Have you any other sort of Crypto-investments?
If not, what non-financial factors motivates you? Any valuable tips? :)
My objective with this post is also help other new starters to have an idea of what people use Steemit for and give them some sort of direction.
I promise to keep posting interesting outcomes of my research as I move forward.
Thank you all!
