Murighanto is a popular Bengali dish, usually made with fish heads and lentils. It is an integral part of traditional Bengali cuisine and is especially served during festivals and special occasions. The specialty of Murighanto is its spicy and delicious taste, which is made with a combination of fresh fish heads and various spices.

So first of all, I am taking water in a pot and then I am taking moong dal, salt, turmeric and a little bit of oil in it. I will boil the moong dal with all the ingredients.
then I am taking a frying pan and frying the fish and fish heads in it with a little oil. Once they are fried, I will take them out and keep them aside and in the same oil, I am adding onion paste, chili paste, ginger-garlic paste and cumin powder.

Once the spices are well roasted, I add the pre-boiled moong dal inside. I also add the potatoes that I had cut into pieces beforehand.

Then I put the pre-fried fish inside. Now I will add about two cups of water inside. And I will cook it well for a while.

This dish is especially enjoyable with white rice and it enriches the Bengali culinary tradition. Murighantho is a favorite not only among Bengalis but also among those who want to enjoy the taste of Bengali food.
