frogs are vertebrate animals belonging to amphibian groups, ie animals that can live in both worlds (water and land).

Frogs can be found in almost all parts of the world, such as oceans, deserts, rivers, forests and deserts. But until now has never been found in the polar regions.

Frogs can not live in saltwater or the sea.

Frogs have more than five thousand species worldwide.

The biggest frog in the world is "Goliath" from Cameroon, West Africa.

The smallest frog in the world is a species from Brazil (Psyllophryne didactyla) which is only about 1 cm in length. Frogs do not need to consume water because their skin is able to absorb water.

People who specifically learn about frogs, toads or amphibians are called Herpetologists. The study of amphibians and reptiles is Herpetology
