Llegó el mes de mayo y con este muchas fechas especiales, pero hay una en particular que me conmueve la cual es el "día de las madres", en Venezuela se celebra el segundo domingo de este mes, por tal motivo en la institución donde laboro nos organizamos para poder hacerle un homenaje a todas esas mujeres que hacen un papel fundamental en el desarrollo y progreso de nuestro trabajo, es que sin el apoyo de estas hermosas madres no podríamos obtener tan buenos resultados. Estoy muy agradecida por su integración en la formación continua de sus hijos, sobre todo en esta población de niños condiciones especiales.
May has arrived and with it many special dates, but there is one in particular that moves me which is the "Mother's Day", in Venezuela is celebrated on the second Sunday of this month, for this reason in the institution where I work we organized ourselves to pay tribute to all those women who play a key role in the development and progress of our work, is that without the support of these beautiful mothers we could not get such good results. I am very grateful for their integration in the continuing education of their children, especially in this population of children with special conditions.
There is another important date such as "the cross of May", which is celebrated on the 3rd of this month, is a cultural tradition that dates back many years to commemorate the finding of the cross where Jesus Christ died by St. Helena, despite having its Spanish Catholic origin, we have adopted it and is celebrated with evenings, songs, dances, and decorate the cross with flowers, fruits and candles. Taking into consideration the country's economy and the fact that most of our representatives are of limited resources, we thought it was a good idea to join both celebrations and enjoy both on the same day.
The proposal was a success and with the support of all the staff we were able to make typical food and drinks to share that day, also each academic section was organized to make a detail to each of the mothers according to their enrollment and we were able to decorate so that it was a pleasant environment for everyone to share. We delegated functions to each one and formed committees so that during the celebration the mothers would feel pampered as they deserve.
Although I have been working in this field for years, I never cease to be amazed by the ability of our students, who danced, recited poetry and sang to the mothers with all the love that only a son knows he feels towards his mother. I also want to emphasize that due to the situation of the country many of them have had to emigrate and have left in charge of their grandmothers, who are an admirable example of dedication and commitment, so the standing applause for all these women who even going through many adversities do not stop and strive to give a good quality of life to these children who are nothing more than angels on earth.
It was a very emotional morning because many feelings surfaced there, every expression of affection from our children towards us touches every fiber of our being, I think those are the moments when one thinks "I'm doing it right", when many times we question if it really is so, that validates that our love is coming in the right way. I was very fortunate to be able to be there that day because normally when they also do the sharing at my son's school I miss it, but this time it was a different date.
My heart rejoices with joy to be able to share with you these beautiful memories, it really is a great virtue to have spaces like this in which I also agree with wonderful people who leave a nice comment to see such publications. I hope all the mothers of Hive also enjoy a lot their day and be very happy with their children, Happy Mothers' Day, beautiful women! A big hug and good vibes to all of you.
