Hello, my warmest regards to all the wonderful people who dedicate a few minutes of their time to me and read my posts. I was cleaning my workspace a few days ago, and while I was collecting the trash, I remembered I had to make a trash can, so I wouldn't just have a trash bag in the room. So, I decided to do it today, and in this post, I'll show you my creation process.
Step 1:

I started looking for boxes and these were the ones I managed to find. I wanted to make a vertical rectangular bin, and these boxes were horizontal rectangular, so I had to figure out a way to make them look the way I wanted.
Step 2:

Cut the tabs, or whatever you call them, from box one and one side that will be used for the top. Also cut the side of box two. Don't cut any tabs from this one.
Step 3:

I joined the boxes by opening the tabs of box two to fit inside box one, taking the desired measurements for the final result. In my case, I wanted the inside to be square, so I had a little excess at the edges of the tabs, so I'll cut those off. This step is for taking measurements. After taking them, I marked them with a pencil and then separated them.
Step 4:

Using a knife or cutter, whatever you had in hand, cut the other side of the box two so that it is folded, and it is much easier when gluing the other box.
Step 5:

Using a hot glue gun, glue the box one to the side we cut from box two to seamlessly and securely fix the base of our future trash can.
Step 6:

I laid the boxes on their sides and glued one of the tabs from box 2 to box 1, and the same with the other side, after that I cut off the excess.
Step 7:

After our boxes were glued together, I cut them to the size I wanted.
Step 8:

I covered the box with a sheet of bond paper. You could also cover it with recycled paper, but in my case I used bond paper to decorate it in the future.
Step 9:
I made sure to secure the inside edges well. I didn't butt up to the edge of the box because when you do it that way, the paper starts to tear. This time, I used white school glue to secure the edges. I did the same with the base of the box, then placed a leftover square of paper underneath.
Step 10:
Then I found and placed a black bag in it, and I started gathering things, clearing and organizing my work area.
Order in a room is important to me. A room has a lot to say about a person's habits, and that's why I like to keep it tidy. Good habits also keep you healthy, both mentally and physically.
I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the next ones where I'll decorate the wastebasket. Although simple, it helps organize and recycle. Thank you for your attention.
