OIer are a group of people who take part in the Olympiad in Informatics(OI)

OI is a kinda competitive programming, a kind of mind sport competition.
As a high school student who is interested in computing and programming, three months ago, I made a worst but also the best decision in my life.

TAKE PART IN THE OI.

There is always someone asking me why I entered the OI.
The interests to the informatics and algorithms can not explain why I alway stay up until midnight to solve programming problems.
Yea, if there is no value of entering the OI, I won't heard it at all.
First, the offer from top universities.
As a high school student, entering the top universities is my most important goal in following three years. And OI can help me build the steps to enter the dream university.Comparing to the American students or some other places, we Chinese students feel more stress of entering the university, because of the population of 1.38 billion. That's why I need OI, for the benefit of entering the universities.

Second, it's easier for an OIer to learn the course of Computer Science in the universities. We not only learn to code but also solve the life problem with the algorithms that we have learned. This mind of solving problems will help a person in whole of his life.

Third, love. The love of computer and algorithms makes me crazy.

All in all, if you're a parent and your child happens to love computer and technology, make your child try it.

If you're a primary/junior/high school student and you happen to like computer. Try it.

If you're a university student why not try ACM-ICPC that could make you cool.
