A road movie that masterfully combines the absurd with the entertaining. The plot follows two girls on a journey from Philadelphia to Miami, facing a series of surreal obstacles along the way, from a severed head in a hatbox to an evil senator.

The highlight of the film is the way Coen manages to pull off such an absurd premise in a compelling and entertaining way.

His unique stamp is evident in every scene, with unexpected twists and hilarious situations that keep the viewer hooked from beginning to end.

The cast does an exceptional job, with the lead duo and supporting cast bringing depth and charisma to the story. The performances are impressive, bringing the characters to life in a vibrant and authentic way.

The film is infused with graphic, slapstick humour, reminiscent of 70‘s B-movies as well as 60’s psychedelia.

These elements add an extra layer of fun and originality to the story, making it all the more memorable.

It's a pretty crazy and funny movie, that you have to discover as cleanly as possible. I really enjoyed both Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan, two actresses for whom I have a great weakness.

Good cinematography by Australian Ari Wegner, especially considering the night scenes.

Soundtrack by Carter Burwell: good, pleasing to the ear, but the best part is the soundtrack of ‘Blue Bayou’ by my admired Roy Orbison, although performed by Linda Ronstadt, not Orbison.

It's a fun, quirky, cinematic adventure that captures the essence of Ethan Coen's unique style. With an exceptional cast, a witty script and an irreverent sense of humour, the film is a unique experience that is sure to leave viewers with a smile on their face.
