𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑩𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆

What if the packaging looks good and the content is trash? Have you experienced a situation where you expected more from a package only to find less in it? I'm sure you were disappointed.

I think this time, I would love to broaden this perspective as it doesn't only apply to packages in it real sense but humans as well.

Ever noticed how people invest so much on their body lately? Many choose to go under the knife to achieve their dream body. Some would go to any length to achieve a flawless skin.

Henrietta my colleague even brought up the topic during our free time in school since we were having a random conversation.

This topic affect many people especially the young ones. We love flashy things. Even when young ones want to find a partner they are always out for the one with a banging body, good looks and all. well, I'm not saying that it is bad to date someone with good looks and all, but have you studied their personality?

What if after the good looks, the content is trash? Some people take their time to work on their looks forgetting to work on their attitude. What if after you settle with them you realize that the face you settled for have a beast like personality?

It's important we look beyond the surface. This also goes beyond relationship. We really cannot judge a book by its cover... Some books look good but the content is nothing to write home about.

Some look unattractive, but they have a heart of gold. I know the first thing we see is their face but have you given them time to see what they are truly made of?

Before making choices, I believe one shouldn't rush. Our heart always make decisions based on sentiment but our head knows what's best for us.

Unfortunately, the heart doesn't always agree with the head. The head at times may whisper the pros and cons of a step we are about to take but our heart might want what it want hence, blocking us from listening to out head.

When next you're choosing your soulmate, watch out for their kindness, patience, empathy, and other personality that means a lot to you.

Fine face will get wrinkled some day, the body might change but their heart will remain the same. No wonder people say love alone cannot sustain a relationship, so too appearance.

Be with someone who is kind even when you both have misunderstanding and all. Someone who is peaceful, and someone who loves you genuinely. Someone who is humble enough to apologize when they are wrong, one who is ready to stay an stick with you when it get tough.

That doesn't mean you should settle with someone you can't be proud of. What I'm saying is, that "looks" shouldn't be the paramount to thing to watch out for, cause life is deeper than you think.
