Walking through the woods early one morning I saw this feather hanging from the barbed wire fence. The light was coming from the back creating a perfect light for this shot. I metered for the feather and opened up about four stops making the exposure about a zone 9. Notice how the background went dark. I was using Kodak c4 black and white film.
