Amsterdam for Web3 Con x Ashwell, UK for British Clarinet Ensemble
I've been dealing with some burnout lately. Well, the universe must have picked up on that and created a challenge for me too good to resist in two trips so close together that they can't be separated.
To join Hive friends,
@crimsonclad and
@crimsonclad, just to name a couple, I'm off to Amsterdam for a couple of days for the conference
Web 3 Amsterdam. Crim is taking the stage at this big event. This is the fourth time I've seen her represent our favourite blockchain in the spotlight, IRL. She informs and inspires while she clearly appears to be enjoying every moment touting Hive.
I'd like to think of myself a capable traveler, but omg, I can't recall ever piecing together an itinerary together like this compressed couplet. Twenty-five hours of progress and still the plans aren't finished. Yet in five hours time the car arrives to take me from Leeds City Centre to the Manchester Airport for the first leg of my flights that will land me in Holland until Saturday. Then, it's time to exchange my Hive hat for my topper that I'll wear to play my very first rehearsal with the acclaimed British Clarinet Ensemble.
With the departure time coming at me without a full plan in place, I decided to call in a guest host, okay two guest hosts,
@bitterirony and
@bitterirony for Creative Work Hour, so I could go do two critical tasks toward preparing myself to travel. One, and this is vital...I got my damned hair done!
Let's note today's CWH Crew!
While the crew was working, I'm with Blake who is capturing my coiffure for their salon's instagram feed. Good hair day! For the other task, I went to Woodside Eatery close to my flat and flushed out a whole new packing list, specific to this gemini journey. Half way through it, I felt the time urgency lighten. Instead of storing it in my note taking app, which changes as often as my nail polish, I decided to build it and let it live in my personal Discord server. Gawd knows I'm on Discord enough for no dust to gather there!
So I thought I'd share it with you in today's post. Feel free to copy/paste it and make it your own. The photo at the top of the post illustrates how creating a fresh packing list gave me the lift I needed. Burnout be damned!
