What is Cuppa Joe?
Before Creative Work Hour, we gather live online to have a chat before we get down to the creative work of the hour. We call this time, "Cuppa Joe."
Most days of the week during Cuppa Joe we get our creative day started together by playing the game where we guess the day's word from the generative artwork that @shadowspub creates for her #dailyecho spots. Today's winner: nooooooo body! It's an old-fashioned word, and we were stumped. You can find the solution of today's puzzle below on Shadows' post.
Most days CWH offers a Bonus second hour for extra co-working, before the end of the sesh, @bitterirony arrived to Leeds from NYC & London to plant one on me!
100 Tiny Paintings in One Year
During the main event of Creative Work Hour today, @gretchenshepherd painted from start to finish a tiny watercolour, just one of the one-hundred canvases she plans to paint within 365 days. She is quite capable with her e-camm skills, and has the cool kit for producing her YouTube channel. While we all worked, we were also able to enjoy watching her using the zoom spotlight feature during the session. There were more of us in the sesh, but some were in the Salona Quietum, the quiet breakout room.
Gretchen's great aunt took the photo in 1948 that is being painting to a minuscule scale some 75+ years later.
Watching Gretchen's cycle of brush to paint to canvas and again was so therapeutic that I decided to ditch the session backing track to better accommodate her creative vibe. Here is my revised choice, Claude Debussy's Suite Bergamasque, Seong-Jin Cho, Piano.
