Hola amigos de Hive, ¿Cómo están? Espero que estén todos muy bien. Yo por aquí bastante contento y con ganas de compartirles cómo pasamos el Día de Reyes este año. La verdad fue una celebración muy especial porque decidimos reunirnos con mis padrinos en casa de unos amigos que recientemente tuvieron la oportunidad de mudarse, así que era una fiesta doble, celebrar Reyes y estrenar su nuevo apartamento.
Ese día la comida estuvo deliciosa. Comimos una ensalada de pollo estilo navideña bien cargada de sabor y la acompañamos con unos pancitos tostados bañados en aceite de oliva que estaban espectaculares. Entre risas y conversaciones, la tarde se fue llenando de ese ambiente cálido que solo se logra cuando estás rodeado de familia y amigos.
Luego llegó el momento más esperado picar la tradicional rosca de reyes. Para quienes no lo sepan, la rosca es un pan dulce en forma de corona que simboliza la unión y la esperanza, y que suele llevar frutas confitadas o rellenos especiales. La nuestra la compraron en la panadería Rosita en Caracas, que es bastante conocida por sus buenos productos. Esta rosca traía adentro una medallita y un caramelo duro. La dinámica era sencilla: al que le saliera el caramelo le tocaba comprar la rosca del próximo año, y al que le saliera la medallita quedaba como rey de la celebración.
Además, nosotros quisimos darle un giro divertido y agregamos unas tiras con hilos de colores. El que sacara el hilo azul sería el encargado de decidir dónde celebrar el próximo Día de Reyes. Al final, el caramelo le salió a mi papá y el hilo azul a mi hermano, así que el año que viene la fiesta será en mi casa. Fue un momento lleno de alegría, bromas y muchas risas, de esos recuerdos que uno guarda con cariño. Y cuéntenme si ustedes celebran algo así o tienen tradiciones diferentes, saludos.

The truth is that it was a very special celebration because we decided to get together with my godparents at the house of some friends who recently had the opportunity to move, so it was a double party, celebrating Epiphany and the premiere of their new apartment.
That day the food was delicious. We had a Christmas style chicken salad loaded with flavor and accompanied it with toasted bread dipped in olive oil that was spectacular. Between laughter and conversation, the evening was filled with that warm atmosphere that can only be achieved when you are surrounded by family and friends.
Then came the most awaited moment, the traditional rosca de reyes. For those who don't know, the rosca is a sweet bread in the shape of a crown that symbolizes unity and hope, and usually has candied fruits or special fillings. Ours was bought at Rosita Bakery in Caracas, which is well known for its good products. This donut had a medallion and a hard candy inside. The dynamic was simple: whoever got the candy got to buy the next year's rosca, and whoever got the medallita was the king of the celebration.
In addition, we wanted to give it a fun twist and added some strips with colored threads. Whoever pulled the blue string would be in charge of deciding where to celebrate next Three Kings Day. In the end, the candy went to my dad and the blue string to my brother, so next year the party will be at my house.
