METHOD OF PREPARATION
Some say it's a pizza roll, some say it's a sandwich. Still telling him, Stromboli (invented around 1950) is an extraordinary good snack that has conquered people all over the world. Lush-layered layers of cheese, smoked ham, slightly spicy salami, wrapped in a crispy and hot dough.
Preheat the oven at high temperature.
Make the pizza counter according to the simple instructions here . Spread it with a ducky on a wooden bottom sprinkled with flour, as rectangular as possible (not round, like for pizza). Grease it with pizza sauce (recipe here ).
Put in the middle a layer of each piece of meat, leaving as much as possible, around the free edges, so that you can fold the dough at the end. Add the cheeses - mozzarella , provolone, gorgonzolla (breeds or sliced).
Beat the egg with a little water and anoint the edges left with it.
It runs smoothly - starting from one side, of course - and finally joins the edges well to isolate the filling and folds the edges beneath the dough.
Put on a paper tray with baking paper, sprinkle with olive oil (if desired, sprinkle some parmesan, oregano or garlic powder on top) and cook for 20-25 minutes.
Cut slices and serve with sausage sauce next door.
