Hace poco, mientras disfruta de un delicioso café, me quedé viendo por la ventana, con la mente en blanco, hasta que me atrapó un pensamiento.
Me puse a pensar en cómo todo lo que hoy vemos, usamos o disfrutamos, al principio fue solo una idea en la cabeza de alguien. Un edificio, una canción, un invento… nada apareció de la nada, todo tuvo un diseño antes de existir.
Y entonces pensé en la vida misma. En la mía, en la tuya, en la de cualquiera. Nada es por casualidad. Mira a tu alrededor, todo lo que tenemos cerca fue pensado y creado con un propósito. La silla en la que estás, el teléfono que usas, incluso el camino que tomaste hoy para llegar al trabajo.
Nos dio la capacidad de hacer cosas grandes
Pero, ¿qué pasa con los sueños que llevamos dentro? ¿Nos preocupamos por darles forma o simplemente dejamos que todo pase sin más?
Me vino a la mente la historia de la creación. Génesis 1:26-27 dice: "Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, conforme a nuestra semejanza". No fuimos hechos sin pensar, ni al azar, Dios soñó con nosotros antes de crearnos, nos diseñó con un propósito y nos hizo a Su imagen y Semejanza.
Eso significa que, así como Él crea, también nos dio la capacidad de imaginar, de soñar y de hacer cosas grandes.
Si Dios no dejó nada al azar al crearnos ¿por qué habríamos de vivir sin un plan, sin rumbo?
Imagina que quieres construir una casa, no basta con decir “quiero una casa bonita” y esperar que aparezca como por arte de magia. Hace falta un plano, materiales, medidas exactas. Lo mismo pasa con cualquier sueño.
Mira a Noé, Dios le dijo que construyera un arca, pero no le dijo “hazlo como puedas”, sino que le dio instrucciones claras: el tamaño, los materiales, cada detalle (Génesis 6:14-16). No fue algo improvisado, así mismo, cuando Dios pone un sueño en nuestro corazón, también nos da la capacidad de trabajar en él.
El problema es que a veces nos quedamos solo soñando, pensamos que con desear algo es suficiente, y que en algún momento sucederá. Pero no, un sueño sin acción es solo eso, un sueño.
Si de verdad queremos verlo hecho realidad, tenemos que trabajar en ello.
Me ha pasado, he tenido ideas geniales que se quedaron ahí, en mi cabeza, porque nunca hice nada para llevarlas a cabo. Pero también he visto como otras se cumplieron cuando me decidí a actuar, a escribir un plan, a poner manos a la obra.
¿Por qué habríamos de vivir sin un plan, sin rumbo?
¿Sabes qué dice Proverbios 16:3? "Encomienda a Jehová tus obras, y tus pensamientos serán afirmados." Es decir, debemos que hacer nuestra parte y confiar en que Dios nos guiará.
Si tienes un sueño, no lo dejes solo en la imaginación, escríbelo, planea, ora, trabaja en él. Al principio puede parecer difícil o incluso imposible, pero si Dios te dio la capacidad de imaginarlo, también te dio la capacidad de construirlo.
No estás aquí por accidente, tienes un propósito, y si sueñas en grande y diseñas con fe, verás cómo tu vida empieza a cambiar.
Así que dime, ¿qué vas a diseñar hoy?
Recently, while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, I stared out the window, my mind blank, until a thought caught me.
I started thinking about how everything we see, use, or enjoy today was originally just an idea in someone's head. A building, a song, an invention... nothing appeared out of nowhere; everything had a design before it existed.
And then I thought about life itself. Mine, yours, anyone's. Nothing is by chance. Look around you; everything around us was thought of and created with a purpose. The chair you're sitting in, the phone you're using, even the route you took to work today.
He gave us the ability to do great things
But what about the dreams we carry within us? Do we worry about shaping them, or do we just let everything happen?
The creation story came to mind. Genesis 1:26-27 says, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness." We weren't made thoughtlessly or randomly. God dreamed of us before creating us. He designed us with a purpose and made us in His image and likeness.
That means that, just as He creates, He also gave us the ability to imagine, to dream, and to do great things.
If God left nothing to chance when He created us, why would we live without a plan, without direction?
Imagine you want to build a house. It's not enough to say "I want a nice house" and expect it to magically appear. You need a plan, materials, and exact measurements. The same goes for any dream.
Look at Noah. God told him to build an ark, but He didn't say "do it as best you can." Instead, He gave him clear instructions: the size, the materials, every detail (Genesis 6:14-16). It wasn't something improvised. Likewise, when God places a dream in our hearts, He also gives us the ability to work on it.
The problem is that sometimes we just dream. We think that wishing for something is enough, and that at some point it will happen. But no, a dream without action is just that: a dream.
If we truly want to see it become a reality, we have to work on it.
It's happened to me; I've had great ideas that stayed there, in my head, because I never did anything to carry them out. But I've also seen how others came true when I decided to take action, to write a plan, to get started.
Why should we live without a plan, without direction?
Do you know what Proverbs 16:3 says? "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." That is, we must do our part and trust that God will guide us.
If you have a dream, don't leave it just in your imagination; write it down, plan it, pray, and work on it. At first, it may seem difficult or even impossible, but if God gave you the ability to imagine it, He also gave you the ability to build it.
You are not here by accident; you have a purpose, and if you dream big and design with faith, you will see how your life begins to change.
