Never head directionless because when you don't have direction, you are moving freely in universe then you are doing the same thing which is done by the particles in Brownian motion so the result will be same here as you will not able to get to a final destination and you will always be the part of that bounded fluid.
Direction in our life is most important aspect without caring about goal because when you have direction then some or other day you will get to the goal but when you don't have direction then you will be captured by black hole type thing where you will move without knowing the reason and result.
