Success

By @adoknight1/29/2018success

Regret and pain they both did strain
upon my weary soul;
And Eros ripped my heart in twain,
Could I again be whole?
Purpose clear did I draw near,
and thought that it could save.
The way obscured and conscience seered
I still was made a slave!

Seemed all these ways though plain at first,
were worthy to uptake;
but soon took turns for bitter worse,
their end was all the same.
Soon after I found nobleness,
Surely a just cause...
But life soon became meaningless,
I served without applause,

I found myself a master I'm sure he will suffice
Fulfillment is his wages my sorrow is his price.
New glory shall I seek, as never seen before:
this time without regression;
My victory is now sure!
No more broken spirit; nor pain or false pretense
The traps of old don't hold me now:
my master is success!
