When we talk about telling lies, we can't deny the fact that we have not told a lie at one time or the other no matter what. Most times we justify what we have done probably because we thought of that as the only solution to the problem at hand. The question is can you tell a lie for any good reason? Or do we see lie as lie even when it means allowing someone to die just so that we won't tell a lie. Hmmm! This is a very difficult question to ask. But I will try by best t I give my honest answer to this question.
FOR A REASON
Yes. I believe that I have done it before and am willing to do it again if it means saving a loved one. I have so many examples that I can bring before us to convince us that we can't totally avoid this. Yes, I didn't advice people to go on telling lies about themselves or about what they do. I believe in been myself and allow heaven to help me where it is necessary. But I have also seen myself in situations where I can't tell the exact truth because I need to save a life.
EXAMPLES
I have had situations where we lost someone very special to us in our family and when we think of telling maybe someone very close to the dead person, we will have to look for a way to bring the person home so that the person will not understand the gravity of what has happened to us. Maybe because we know how close they are and if the person get to know what has happened, we will have two burials to plan. No one is ready for such, and by the way we just lost someone and we are not ready to lose any one not just because we don't want to plan double burial but because we can't lose two persons at the same time. That will be a calamity on the family. Some may not also survive it when it happens.
My friend just left my house this morning before I start making this post. She told me that she traveled home for her uncles burial. That is the younger brother the her mother. Her mother is almost 90 years and they whole family knows that if their mother get to know that her brother is dead she may just drop dead. They all decided not to let their mother know about it. They all prepared for the burial, left their mother in the care of someone also. When to the burial, did everything in the name of their mother without letting her know about it. But when they were going out for the burial, she asked them what happened that they all came back home. Then she started crying, plus urinating in her body saying that her brother is dead. They told her that he is still alive and that they are all going for one occasion which made her calm down. In this case are we saying that they all did something very bad? No. They tried to save a soul who have not finished her assignment on earth. I know that it sounds funny, but that is what we do every now and then.
That is the very reason why I said that we can't shy away from that completely because sometimes we do it not to hurt anyone or cause trouble, but we good intentions. Sometimes we even tell a lie to a patience in the hospital so that we can save that life.
