Hello steemians, I’m here!
My name is Abubakar Balogun; I’m 20s, from Kwara State, Nigeria.
I have been looking through the length and width of this steemit platform for a while (even before I signed up for my account to be approved), I cherish the giftedness of the various profiles that I have come across.
I didn’t believe that this kind of platform exists, but nobody told me before I realize that it a community where great ideas are born and connections are made.
I am now here; it is time to drink the great opportunities in this community to learn, share, grow and of course earn. I’m here to learn tons of bright ideas from you guys that will help me to widen my horizon.
I love Micro-Adventures; exploring many places, and enjoyed vibe.
I love to be happy all the time, even if there is a slight chance to find something that will makes me happy, I don’t mind going after it.
I am hardworking, energetic and love meeting people.
I love reading especially books of highly successful people so that I can learn how to be successful. This has really helped in shaping my life.
Since I realized that readers are leaders, I have never stopped searching for knowledge and I know whenever I need them, they will be handy.
My favorite books are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill; How to win friend and influence people by Dale Carnegie; Long work to freedom by Nelson Mandela; and the success principle by Brain Tracy.
I’m currently working with Non-governmental organization (NGO) Prikkle academy which has an intent strategy to bring about revolutionary change in education in Nigeria, especially in rural communities. I have joined this organization for about two years and the experience that I got has brought profound change in my life. I learned lots about unusual gift of hands, head, mind, and how I can deployed them to make positive impact in the world.

After 6 months this I joined this organization, I was able to come up with innovative approach on how to turn an environmental pollution into an educational solution. There is a problem of insufficient classroom furniture (Chairs and table) for school children, as some of them sit on the floor.
I also saw the problem of huge wastage of can milk which often goes to garbage, it blocks off the drainage whenever there is rained. In addition, there is large quantity of used tires within my community, (Afon Community) which is usually used for burning cows during ceremonies and festivals. The burning poses a great threat to the atmosphere.
I saw the connection between the two problems, and started to use tires and can to create chairs and tables. This solution has shaped my thinking that, with determination and taking action, I can make the world a better place.
I'm also find innovative approach of turning Human waste into organic Charcoal.
Though, I have just started in small scale; I am quite excited about the possibilities
In April 2017, I co-created first ever grassroots maker-space in Nigeria. To allow grassroots change-makers to have access to tools, technology and information needed to solve most pressing challenged in their communities.
But don’t worries I will be throwing you some keynotes about our maker-space, stay update.
I have wonderful dreams about myself and the world I wish to live in.
A world where everybody in it knows their purpose of creation and do the things they have been created to do.
A world where there is no hatred, no jealousy, no war, no poverty or greed.
A perfect world where everybody lives happily knowing that his next door neighbor is doing what he/she needs to do to better the world.
I want to see a world where everybody is successful and there is no class or race difference.
Sigmoid Freud once said “everything is created twice, mental creation and Physical Creation.
Well, since this world already exist in my creative mind. That means it’s existing physically.
In this case, I need to know you people living in my world, who starts first?
