Life became harder day by day after Diana lost her well paying job of four years. Not only her financial lifestyle was affected but her mental health too. Going from earning over three hundred dollars to nothing felt worse than not having at all.
The loss of Diana’s job also made her almost lose her future best friend, Dende, the former pet of the wealthiest man in the society.
You this mice. I’ve told you many times without number to stay away from my doorstep but you never listen. There is nothing I have to take care of you and your wealthy owner has just relocated to Brazil a stray mice, Dende is so addicted to Diana’s doorstep that he loves to spend all his day there and at night, he goes to his crib.
Many times, Diana’s neighbors wonder why Dende loves to stay at her doorstep everyday of his life even though there are many days that Diana didn’t have what to give to Dende.
Dende, a wise mice which was once owned by a wealthy man who relocated to Brazil was left behind and that’s how Dende became a stray animal which everyone gives food sometimes and mostly sleeps hungry at night.
For Dende not to sleep hungry, he goes to the nearest grocery store around the area to eat some food without the knowledge of the owner.
One morning, he had already resumed fast to Diana’s doorstep and immediately she stepped out of the house, he ran behind her net so she doesn’t shout at him as usual.
Diana was so much in a haste that she rushed out of the house half dressed and trying to adjust the rumpled parts while on her way to her destination.
Out of rush, a paper fell from Diana’s hand without her knowledge as she walked out of the compound.
Dende, the wise one which was trained by a very rich man in the neighborhood sighted the paper and saw that the paper fell from Diana’s bag.
Dende who knew how important papers are, picked it up then kept it with him while waiting for her at her doorstep hoping she comes back quick. It wasn’t up to twenty minutes when Diana came back into the compound crying about the paper which had fallen off her bag and also the job interview which she’s about to miss.
Oh this is the only hope for me to get a well paying job but now, I can’t find my resume. Is something wrong with me? Diana kept murmuring on her way home and didn’t mind if anyone was going to laugh at her for crying like a baby on the main road.
On opening the compound gate, she saw Dende running towards her with a paper in his mouth. She even tried to step away from Dende but he keeps coming close. That rang a bell because Dende has always been peaceful but this time, he really wanted Diana to notice her.
What does Dende want this time? she asked herself and angrily pulled out the paper in his mouth. The only thing important to her then is her curriculum vitae while every other thing is meaningless which led to the ripping of the paper. In a second, Diana was shocked that Dende actually gave her the curriculum vitae she has been looking for.
She never knew that Dende could be that smart. No one could ever imagine that such animal will be so smart to keep a paper especially an important one but Dende did it.
Oh my God! Thank you so much Dende, due to the kindness that Dende has done for Diana, she touches and rubs Dende’s head for the first time thanking him for his kindness.
She bought a liquid gum outside to fix the paper which got torn, she wiped the tears off her face and used her makeup brush to adjust her makeup.
After the interview, she was granted the job after showing a proof of her resume.
Dende made this happen and I’ll be so glad to adopt such wonderful and smart animal, Diana said. On her way home, she branched a pet store and bought all the foods that Dende may need.
On getting back home, Dende ran towards her and she was happy with Dende for the first time. At last, Diana adopted Dende as her pet and her best friend.
The two of them became good friends afterwards and Dende continued to be kind to Diana.
