Está canción se trata de una parábola del hijo pródigo basada en la biblia dónde un hombre tenía 2 hijos; y el menor de ellos dijo al padre: "padre, dame la parte de la herencia que me corresponde." y el les repartió la herencia. Pocos días el hijo menor lo reunió todo y se marchó a un país lejano dónde malgasto su herencia viviendo como un libertino y cuando esté joven malgastó todo su dinero le vino una gran hambre y comenzó a faltarle dinero y este joven deseaba llenar su vientre de las algarrobas que comían los cerdos 😥 pero nadie le daba de comer, y el muy triste empezó a lamentarse por qué en casa de su padre no le faltaba nada y dijo cuántos jornaleros en casa de mi padre tienen abundancia de pan y yo aquí perezco de hambre y este joven se levantó y dijo iré a casa de mi padre y le pediré perdón, cuando esté joven fue el pensaba que su padre no lo perdonaría, pero para mayor sorpresa su padre con lágrimas en sus ojos lo abrazo y le dijo a sus siervos sacad el mejor vestido y vestidle y poned un anillo en su mano y calzados en sus pies y traer el vecerro más gordo y comamos y hagamos fiestas y comenzaron a regocijarse.
Que parábola más hermosa y a la vez triste verdad? Jesús nos enseña que nuestro padre celestial halla gran gozo en perdonar al que se arrepiente y nos enseña a nosotros a perdonar también.
