El almuerzo tuvo lugar en la conocida casa de la gallega una señora de origen español asentada en el lugar desde hace más de 40 años. Los platos fueron servidos en un ranchón dentro del mismo bosque, cerca de un rio que pasa bordeando el lugar resaltando aún más el ambiente natural y regalándonos maravillosas vistas de los alrededores.

Al final del día, regresamos al alojamiento con el corazón lleno de gratitud por haber tenido la oportunidad de vivir una aventura tan enriquecedora. A la hora de la comida conversamos sobre la suerte que tenemos de vivir esta aventuras, El Parque Natural Topes de Collantes nos había regalado momentos inolvidables, conectándonos con la naturaleza de una manera única

Y así, entre risas, anécdotas y nuevas experiencias, la mi familia guardó en su memoria aquel viaje al Parque Natural Topes de Collantes como un tesoro invaluable, un recuerdo que siempre nos recordará la belleza y la importancia de cuidar y apreciar el mundo natural que nos rodea.

Hello my friends of this great community. We all like to visit new places and add new experiences to our lives, me and my family, excited we decided to undertake a trip to the Topes de Collantes Natural Park, in the majestic Guamuhaya Mountain Massif, in the Province of Sancti Spiritus. With suitcases full of enthusiasm and desire to explore, we set off for this wonderful area full of forests, flora and fauna, with the double joy of visiting another province since we are from Villa Clara.

Arriving at the park, we were greeted by the lush vegetation and fresh air that flooded our lungs. We entered the trails surrounded by tall trees and listened to the songs of the birds that fluttered around us. My family and I marveled at the diversity of plants and flowers that adorned the path, creating an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Kurhotel Escambray

We stayed in a hotel inaugurated on May 9, 1954, by Fulgencio Batista, the then president at that time, although it began to be built in August 1936, is a construction one of its kind in Cuba and Latin America, its name is Kurhotel Escambray, the word kurhotel comes from the conjunction of healing and hotel services.

During our journey, we came across crystal clear waterfalls that fell from a great height into pools of turquoise waters, inviting us to dive into them and enjoy the beauty of the place, even though the water was as cold as ice. Children scampered and played among the trees, marveling at the abundance of life around them, while we parents gazed in awe at the magnificence of nature.

During the tour, we also had the opportunity to spot various species of animals, from colorful butterflies to small mammals hiding in the dense vegetation. Each encounter with the local fauna was a unique experience that enriched their trip and reminded them of the importance of preserving the natural balance of the place.

Lunch took place in the well-known house of the Galician woman, a lady of Spanish origin who has been living in the area for more than 40 years. The dishes were served in a ranchon in the same forest, near a river that runs along the edge of the place, highlighting even more the natural environment and giving us wonderful views of the surroundings.

At the end of the day, we returned to the lodge with our hearts full of gratitude for having had the opportunity to live such an enriching adventure. At lunchtime we talked about how lucky we are to live these adventures, the Topes de Collantes Natural Park had given us unforgettable moments, connecting us with nature in a unique way.

And so, amidst laughter, anecdotes and new experiences, my family kept that trip to the Topes de Collantes Natural Park as a priceless treasure, a memory that will always remind us of the beauty and importance of caring for and appreciating the natural world around us.
