Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.

I want to share this Holozing fan art I’ve been working on during stream on Blaze. The whole process was way more intense than I expected, but in the end I managed to finish it, and I’m really glad I didn’t give up on it.

I worked on a big part of it live while streaming on Blaze, showing the real process with no cuts or edits. Most of the drawing was done in Photoshop, since that’s where I feel more comfortable building the base, refining shapes, and pushing the details. That’s basically my main workspace when it comes to structure and final polish.

I also used Corel Painter for certain parts, especially when I was looking for more texture and a slightly different brush feel. Photoshop is great for structure and control, but sometimes it can look too clean or too sharp, and that wasn’t the vibe I wanted for every area of this piece. So I jumped into Corel Painter to experiment a bit and give some sections a more natural, almost traditional touch.

I was mainly focused on building richer textures, soft transitions, and subtle surface variation so it wouldn’t feel flat. Switching between programs wasn’t random btw, I did it intentionally depending on what the artwork needed at that specific stage. Sometimes I’d test something in Painter, go back to Photoshop to adjust values or layers, then return again to refine details.

I like working that way because it keeps the process flexible instead of locking myself into just one software.

Now here’s where things got crazy. While I was live, the main file suddenly got corrupted. Out of nowhere. The format started failing and the file just wouldn’t behave normally. So I tried to open the backup… and btw, that one was even more damaged. At that point I was just staring at the screen like, idk what just happened, no no no nono lol.

After the file failed and everything started glitching, I decided to end the stream. There was no point in staying live while trying to fix a broken file lol. I restarted my PC hoping it was just some random system issue, and once it booted back up, I started moving layers around, testing things, trying to recover whatever I could from what was left.

For a moment I honestly thought I had lost everything. And if you’ve ever lost hours of work like that, you know it’s a horrible feeling. It’s not just “oh well,” it really hits. I remember thinking all that time was just gone.

Somehow, after trying different things and checking the damaged file carefully, I managed to recover part of it. Not everything, but enough to avoid starting completely from zero. So I took what survived and decided to keep going from there.

It was frustrating ngl. This hasn’t happened to me in a long time, and I honestly still don’t know what caused it. Idk if it was Photoshop, the file size, the PC, or just bad luck. Sometimes things just break and that’s it.

In the end, I kept working on what I was able to save and finished the piece. It wasn’t the smoothest process, and definitely not the most relaxing one, but I’m still happy I pushed through and completed it. So yeah, this artwork comes with a little battle story behind it, but that’s part of the journey too.

A while ago I was looking for this little shark you see down here 🦈. It’s really special to me. I won it a long time ago here, n it was done by a person many years ago but also I consider a GREAT GREAT GREAT FRIEND now n who does amazing work , very talented🤗.

I thought I had lost it , I was very sad… but noooo! I got it back! Yes ! He found n sent it to me again, and I’m so happy to have it with me once more.
So from now on, this shark will be keeping me company 💙
