A couple of weeks ago I shared here a work by an artist who is very well known in Portugal, and is well known for his work and his anamorphic technique, which I have described on other occasions. Today, I want to share a second work by the same artist, Odeith. This mural is located a few meters from “Amália Rodrigues” mural, and its main theme is the famous artist Zeca Afonso. José Manuel Cerqueira Afonso dos Santos was born in Aveiro on August 2, 1929, and died in Setubal in 1987. He was undoubtedly one of the most recognized and best-remembered Portuguese singers and songwriters of all time. His best-known work is the song “Grândola, Vila Morena” (Youtube link), which was used as a code by the Armed Forces Movement when it broadcast it on national radio, announcing that the April 25 Revolution was underway. It has always been associated with intervention and political music.

This week, I read a Taraz publication in which, among other topics, the issue of Artificial Intelligence was addressed. In the comments of that post, several people exchanged ideas that led me to think a little more about this particular subject.

Good morning, everyone!Welcome to another monthly recap! Today is the first day of June... How time flies by. We're almost into the second half of the year. Today is Children's Day. And exactly fifteen years ago today, I bought the apartment I'm currently in. It was a very special day at the time, as it marked an important step in my life. As well as the responsibilities I would now have, it also brought me a lot of independence. These years on, and although I still have many years to go before I can pay off the mortgage to the bank, 241 months to be precise. At the time, I agreed to pay it off in 420 months, or 35 years. But I only have another 20 years to go and my mortgage is paid off.

Last Thursday was “Cob Day”. Although I wasn't the one who remembered the event, a friend of mine sent me a message wishing me a good day of the cob. I remember, as a child at elementary school, on this day (which I now know always falls on a Thursday), when there were no classes, going with the teachers and teaching assistants to the fields around the school to pick ears of corn, poppies, pampillos and other plants to make small branches.
