🥇 Our Trip to Sal Island - Cape Verde by @larissalugo

Today I’d like to tell you about my visit to an exotic country Cape Verde, which is locally known as Cabo Verde. The local people speak Creole, a language that is very similar to Portuguese. The country is a former Portuguese colony and gained its independence not so long ago, in 1975. We began our tour in Palmeira, the main port of Sal Island. Sal is the island most visited by tourists and Palmeira is its main gateway. Since the country has limited resources, most imports pass through this port. One of its most important resources is fish and it all goes through here. So Palmeira is essentially a fishing town.

🥈 A short adventure through Cajas National Park - The Ecuador diary / Una pequeña aventura por el Parque Nacional Cajas - El diario de Ecuador by @sofathana

Exploring nature is one of my hobbies. Wherever I travel, I always look to "go into the mountains" 😄, as we say in my country, so on my second day in the city of Cuenca, in southern Ecuador, I went to visit the beautiful landscapes of Cajas National Park. I took a bus from the Cuenca terminal early in the morning, and about 35 km later I arrived at the main entrance to the park: the Toreadora Recreation Zone. There I checked in at the ranger station and they gave me a map with the available trails. The weather was very cloudy and quite cold, but the views were incredible.

🥉 Two days exploring Pichilemu! by @cristiancaicedo

Pichilemu is a city on the Chilean coast, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, about three and a half hours by bus from Santiago. The trip was smooth, and I arrived on time. The first thing I did was explore the main beach—the bus terminal is very close—and take a stroll along the shore. Not all beaches in Chile look the same. Some, like those in Viña del Mar or Reñaca, have golden sand, more like what you typically picture when you hear the word "beach." But in many other cases, especially further south, the sand is volcanic in origin, giving it a dark gray color.
