This is exciting—sharing my first post on one of the weekend engagement topics about how I left my comfort zone for a better life. This is an interesting topic, and I hope to express my feelings on it very well.

When you are a child, your parents are your heroes. They provide everything for you to make you happy, just to put a smile on your face. They take care of you from your childhood until you become independent in your own life. Many thanks to our parents for the care and love shown to us.

They have taken care of me and paid my school fees from the basic level up until now at the university level. Everything has been provided by my parents, my sole dependents in life.

When I was a child, I thought everything was given to me on a silver platter. I always think that they would be heroes to provide for my needs. This was just a nighttime dream in the sky. They would never be a hero through out life to provide that comfort zone for you always. No never.

When I reached the age of 18, I got admitted to the university, and then I asked my dad to buy me an iPhone, a laptop, and a new student mattress. He bought me a laptop and paid for my school. He told me to work for the rest of my desires. I was surprised to think it was a joke. He did not buy the other items. I then thought I should not stay in my comfort zone to get what I want.

I gave the items left to my mom to buy the phone and a new student mattress. She did not say anything; she bought the student mattress and left the phone. I disturbed her why did not buy the phone. She then told nothing in life comes at ease, they would be a time we will be no more. Who would provide for you? Who would be creating that comfortable life for you always? Learn how to meet your needs now. I was shocked, then I thought about leaving my comfort zone for a better life.

My thought for a hero to provide a comfort zone for me ended there. I began to learn a handicraft job to earn money for myself at the end of the month. I learned to till, and I make some pennies for myself when I am at home. Though I have not made a lot of money through this skill, I hope to one day.

I was also introduced to this platform by a friend. He told me this is another advantageous place to earn something for yourself within a month. He said this is not a place to get quick riches. Be patient, and you will earn something to support yourself. Many thanks to @life.of.abdul for introducing me to this platform.

Life is a game; keep working on your passions, and you shall win some day. I never want to quit when things are hard for me. I learned all these things because my parents pushed me to be responsible. Many thanks to our parents.

I invite @yewuzah and @rubilu to partake in this very lovely engagement. I am waiting to read your entries on this engagement topic.
