a lot has been going on in the studio since the last update.
this summer has been filled with skateboarding and i i havent been producing as much work as i sometimes do.I dont think i am going to do the OTher Art fair this year in march. I am tired of living out of my warehouse studio space.
I am going to move back to minnesota.
this is somewhat distracted me but now that i am sure that is what i am doing i need to finish or get these painting to a point where i can photograph and sell them before i pack them up and move them into some kind of storage situation.

i am going to get a studio in minnesota but i just dont know where yet and for now i will be working a job.

i had to do a commission.
he wanted it like one of my other paintins but warmer.
turns out he didnt know what he wanted
i painted him this and he basically said he wanted the exact one that he said he wanted it like. below is the process.

this is what i had to re-make which took even more weeks. but at this point he felt bad making me re do the whole thing so there was no rush.

and here it is installed in his home. he was happy

this is my latest painting. i think ive been working on this one for almost a year. i think i like how it looks hanging vertically like that

i dont think it is as strong horizontally

here is another new work that is different from a lot of my other ones but i was stoked on how it came out. it was one of those paintings that has been sitting around for years and one night you decide to do some kind of elaborate pattern over it and makes the whole thing ten times better

ive been taking the masking tape cutouts and sticking them to other surfaces in order to get more than once use out of them.

thus is the case with this painting. it was a painting sitting around i didnt know what to do with so i made a bunch of masking tape stickers and stuck them all around. then i painted all the exposed parts a light orange white

here is the biggest challnge for me to complete before i move. this painting is hard to make good. i dont have a recent photo of it really it looks a litte different from what you see here (without masking tape)
