This photo as well as several previous ones was taken Canon 5D Mark 2, ef 85 F / 1.2 As a lighting used beauty dish and a lamp with a fresnel lens.
To create additional softness, in addition to the fully open aperture F1,2, a gel was applied to the protective filter of the lens. Allowed to make an additional soft effect outside the center of the frame.
Since one game depth of field was not enough to create the right emphasis for me only on the face.
