Yo en Oko
Unirme a otro club de running es una de las cosas que más he querido hacer desde hace varios meses.
Siempre me ha gustado mucho correr con mis amigos de Hiverun, pero con el tiempo quedó demostrado que nuestro fuerte es la presencia online, mientras que desde hace un tiempo ha crecido mi interés por formar parte de un grupo con el que pueda disfrutar más tiempo entrenando en persona.
Por mi mente han pasado varias posibilidades, pero esta oportunidad de unirme al club de Oko runners me gustó mucho más que ninguna otra.
Este es un grupo de de Guarenas y están comenzando actividades en Caracas, eso significa que estoy comenzando desde cero con un grupo en el que todos somos nuevos. Eso me gusta mucho porque así es más fácil crear sentido de pertenencia y afinidad como equipo.
Apenas comenzamos el lunes 24 de febrero y estos dos días hemos entrenado según las instrucciones de nuestro coach. Hoy será el tercer día de entrenamiento y espero hacer al menos 10Km.
El lunes hice 10Km en dos partes porque después del séptimo Kilómetros sentí unas ganas de orinar insoportables. Por suerte en la zona hay baños portátiles. Fui rápidamente y después hice otros 3Km.

Obviamente hablaré con el coach y todos mis compañeros para invitarlos a unirse a Hive y compartir todas sus experiencias y conocimientos. Esta es una gran oportunidad para el club y espero que le saquen todo el provecho posible. Lamentablemente hemos visto que escribir es una habilidad de la que algunas personas carecen, pero Oko es un club relativamente grande, incluyendo a los miembros de Guarenas, por eso espero que se unan al menos 5 corredores.
El mejor incentivo es mantener un registro permanente de nuestros entrenamientos, experiencias y conocimientos, pero sé que la monetización de esta actividad también es muy atractiva para muchas personas. Esperemos que Oko sea el segundo club en unirse formalmente a esta cumunidad!
Me at Oko
Joining another running club is one of the things I've been wanting to do for several months now.
I've always loved running with my friends from Hiverun, but over time it became clear that our forte is our online presence, while for some time now I've been interested in joining a group with which I can enjoy more time training in person.
Several possibilities have crossed my mind, but this opportunity to join the Oko runners club appealed to me more than any other.
This is a group from Guarenas and they are starting activities in Caracas, that means that I am starting from scratch with a group in which we are all new. I like that a lot because it is easier to create a sense of belonging and affinity as a team.
We just started on Monday, February 24 and these two days we have been training according to our coach's instructions. Today will be the third day of training and I hope to do at least 10Km.
On Monday I did 10Km in two parts because after the seventh kilometer I felt an unbearable urge to urinate. Luckily there are portable toilets in the area. I went quickly and then did another 3Km.

Oko at Hive
Obviously I will talk to the coach and all my teammates to invite them to join Hive and share all their experiences and knowledge. This is a great opportunity for the club and I hope they take full advantage of it. Unfortunately we have seen that writing is a skill that some people lack, but Oko is a relatively large club, including the Guarenas members, so I hope that at least 5 runners will join.
The best incentive is to keep a permanent record of our training, experiences and knowledge, but I know that the monetization of this activity is also very attractive to many people. Hopefully Oko will be the second club to formally join this community!
