Value Plan Q1 2025 Proposal

The Community Well Project makes an impact in Northern Ghana.
We would like to start by first thanking everyone who has contributed to Value Plan, to the 2025 Strategy, and to the general development and design of supporting elements, including all of the ongoing work with metrics and reviews. Your contributions are what make Hive promotional initiatives possible.
In this proposal we are seeking to fill out the 2025 Q1 budget with 250,000 HBD out of which a portion of 55,000 HBD will be kept aside as long as plausible for our legal opinion (it will be rolled back in and re-initiated in Q2 if delayed).
Normally this proposal comes out two weeks prior but as we were focused on the Strategy it was pushed into February.
As per the deliverables outlined in the 2025 Strategy, each event and activity is to have a SMART goals spreadsheet attached to it, which will be communicated on event accounts. This will help us all track our successes and identify any points of struggle. Talent Land Mexico

Talent Land was a huge success for us last year and is projected to have a significant impact this year. We are projecting an interview space at the event and may bring in the Hive motorcycle instead of a traditional booth, in order to save on booth costs and logistics which would be far more expensive and less interesting than leveraging focal points.

Young Art Fair

Young Art Fair is Poland's celebration of emerging artists. Please see their introduction post here which has additional links to follow their progress. Deliverables from this partnership include marketing across social media channels and printed event branding.

Community Well Project

The LATAM version of the CWP will be completed shortly. Instead of being a well, it is a far more extensive installation of a water line that feeds from a stream on a mountain and runs down its length to a village. We aimed to publicize the project after the installation completed but it seemed our reputation preceded us.
The Ghana-based well installation that everyone is familiar with is scheduled to deliver its final planned wells. Two wells are expected to be completed in Q1, tying off deliverables and giving the project time to pursue Hive partnerships.
Both of the CWP projects are instrumental in attracting the attention of NGOs and potential regional partners. These activities have distinct marketing approaches, with Ghana more focused on presentations and LATAM on digital.

Modular Carnival

Date: 24 February to 5 March 2025
The Modular Carnival, held in Belo Horizonte, Brasil, is a conference and series of side-events highlighting tech. It is projected to attract 3,000 participants over the course of the week. Activities during this event will include presentations and exploring B2B opportunities while showcasing our tech.

Web3 Amsterdam

We have a speaker invitation to once again present at this excellent conference. The entire plan for this activity is not yet in place but we are expecting the usual partnership plus an onboarding component, same as previously. @Crimsonclad is representing Hive as a speaker for this event.

Dev Expo

Dev Expo is a new conference located in London, UK. We are currently working out what the engagement could look like on our part. This event is organized by one of the former organizers of Tech Ex and a long-time industry contact. While this event takes place in Q2, we will complete the planning phase within the next few weeks in order to ensure we maximize our opportunity to present Hive during it.

B2B Venezuela and Spain

Printing + Restaurant Franchises (VZ)

Hive members are working with a restaurant franchise and a large printing business in Venezuela to integrate HBD as a payment method both via Distriator and in general. This engagement has a presentation, educational, implementation assistance and communication component to ensure the new vendors are set up for success.

Sucre Multiple Companies (VZ)

Several companies of various sizes have requested meetings to be introduced to the process of integrating HBD payments. Businesses are excited to take a step towards Web3 through Hive.

Initiation (Spain)

The work to branch out into Spain has also started and is set to continue one step at a time. Brochures have been printed and a list of potential businesses suitable to accept HBD is partially developed. The small team of Hive community members in Spain are also getting to know the local crypto tech scene and working out the next best steps for Hive.

Królestwo Bez Kresu is a physical location and cultural center in Poland. It hosts a variety of events and acts as an onboarding and engagement hub for local Hive community members.

VIBES

VIBES started off as a pilot project but has gained success and allowed Hive to connect with many talented professional musicians all over the world.

India Digital

Digital promotions in India with the help of @finfarm and other media points is designed to bring Hive to the Indian tech community. This is a relatively new initiative which was launched in the second half of last year and is still seeing active development.

Community Activities

Physical activities designed to showcase Hive will be spread over Q1 as usual. One we'd like to highlight today is the Hive Run @hiverun which is a Venezuela-based running club. Every year it participates in the Maratón CAF Caracas on February 16th. This is a fun activity with a representation and onboarding focus.

LATAM Digital Program

The LATAM strategy has been developed to include a series of digital marketing initiatives including podcasting, ads, and influencer-related target marketing. It uses the North Star Metric for a growth-focused plan. The purpose of this digital approach is to drive the success of Hive marketing in LATAM and support physical initiatives in order to amplify their reach and ensure that deliverables are met.
General aspects of the program:
  • Support growth through research-driven goal-setting
  • Focus on the online community and its development
  • Ensure an adequate supply of digital elements such as graphics
  • Focus on onboarding and retention

Hackathons

We are looking at selecting the best hackathon experiences in order to invite more talented developers to consider building their dapps on Hive. At this time there is no explicit list as none are yet confirmed.
Hackathons allow a unique opportunity of direct engagement for experienced Hive developers who act as mentors and judges, helping to make these events a success and streamline the integration of new teams into the Hive ecosystem. More volunteers are always needed so please let us know if you are available to support future hackathons with your expertise.

Proposal

While the above events are to be paid in Q1 and largely take place in both Q1 and Q2, there is a potential of having to prepay for some Q3 events. This is only in relation to conferences where early spots have to be secured. Normal non-conference activities do not require a run-up time of more than a month.
This proposal is asking for 250,000 HBD for Q1 2025.
