I am currently watching a Netflix series about a twin experiment in which several twins are tested for eight weeks. What is it about? They do all sorts of tests on the twins before the start of the eight weeks, and then they are divided in two. For eight weeks, one of the twins must eat a vegan diet, while the other is to eat a healthy and good omnivore diet. In other words, these are both good diets, but the experiment in then about seeing what effect this will have on the bodies of those participating.
I have a lot to say about the series and I do like the fact that it makes me think. No matter if you feel like it is strongly biased, there is for sure a truth in the fact that we should eat more vegetables and fruits, and try to cut down on the meat consumption. For that reason, I want to share some nice quotes about carrots and other healthy stuff in the coming days.
"Carrots are a rich source of beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant that is converted to vitamin A in the body, contributing to eye health and immune system function." - American Academy of Ophthalmology
Right now I am after lunch time and I very often eat snacks or something unhealthy at this time of the day. It might not be exactly stress eating, but it is a time of the day in which I easily add a lot of carbohydrates to my food. Wouldn't it be wise to try to change it with something that is healthy and that will benefit my body instead? Why not eat a carrot instead of a Snickers? A Snickers will make you fat and pump your blood sugar, while the carrot is a healthy and powerful vegetables that has a good effect on your immune system, eye health, and much more!
