I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #959 - 71 Reputation Reached, and Hive Compared with Other Blockchains - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, March 13, 2025

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Much to my happy surprise, I reached a reputation level of 71 yesterday, which is quite a notable threshold to cross, and one that took my 3 years, 5 months, and 19 days (1,268 days total) on the Blockchain to achieve. Each level is 30% more difficult to attain, which means with every new level, growth slows by almost a third. We'll see if I'll be able to reach my 2025 Hive goal to 72 reputation by the end of the year.
While I am tenaciously all-in for the long haul on Hive, with immense passion, commitment, and dedication to this incredible Blockchain and its community, I'm also always exploring other frameworks and blockchain ecosystems, to see what they have to offer, and to see how they compare to Hive. Today I had the idea to ask Grok 3 (X's home-grown AI) to compare Hive to a few other interesting blockchains, giving their primary and most notable differences, one at a time. Its analyses were fascinating, and even rather surprising in some ways. If you're curious about what Grok 3 had to say, I'm sharing the three comparisons that I did today below.
A few things stood out to me as I read through these comparisons, especially in relation to blockchains like DeSo and Solana. Hive is tailored to be efficient and fast within its particular social-blockchain niche, though more general-purpose blockchains like DeSo and Solana have far greater throughput, scalability, and a faster transaction times. This is partly why I feel that communication, sharing, and collaboration between blockchain communities and developers is so important, as well as having developers that have experience with a good array of blockchain technology, so that what one blockchain does well can be translated and implemented in others.
Hive is a truly exceptional Blockchain, but it does indeed have areas that need improvement, especially in regard to being able to scale up to onboard millions of new people to our Ecosystem, and in a way that works. Our blockchain is amazing, and ahead of the game in many respects, but it can be even better.
Interconnection and interoperability between blockchain ecosystems is something that is going to become ever-more important over time, and while Hive does have these implemented to some degree, they are still rather limited, and as such should have a much greater developmental focus. Even just in terms of creating greater value for Hive assets, being able to easily exchange them for other off-chain crypto assets, and visa-versa, is essential, as the more ways that we can use our assets, and the more ways that we have to easily exchange them for others, both on and off-chain, the higher value they will have.
Yesterday, Thursday, once I had finished my Hive tasks, I prepared for my session with Riana at 1:30PM, and before she arrived, I was also thankfully able to fit in some photography for these posts, and for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. We started Riana's session on time, and finished just before 6PM. After Riana left (happy and grateful), I went to the Landing to make some food, and to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, finally returning to the Flow House to get into my evening Hive tasks, to catch up on my notifications, and to write and publish My Entry for Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 364 - Bamboo-Path Shadows. I had a lot of notifications, so and I wasn't able to get caught up fully before I had to stop to write my post, do some asset management, then finally go to bed, way too late, just after 1PM. I woke up just after 8:15AM, after having slept well, doing more asset management, starting on this post, getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so a really good time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to first focus on photography for these posts, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's expression of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

2025 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
