I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβš‘πŸ’₯πŸ”₯βœ΄οΈβœ³οΈβ‡οΈπŸ‘£πŸŒ±βœ¨πŸ€™

Warm greetings all! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Today was a beautiful and sunny, and quite atypical day from my usual flow. After making my superfood fire coffee, and focusing on Hive catch-up for a short while, I ended up helping @aukuna getting Arch Linux set up on his new laptop. I helped him install it the official way via the command line earlier in the week. There were some hiccups connected with dealing with his computer's UEFI firmware and the NVME SSD, but over the course of the week we've worked through all the challenges that arose. This morning we booted into a graphical interface for the first time, which was exciting.

There are still minor issues with his wifi adapter and the boot menu, but I'm certain that we'll resolve them shortly. He loves Arch, and is really enjoying himself customizing everything! I spent the whole morning and into the afternoon in the Landing with him, helping and teaching him the basics of using an Arch system. Harmony and Shakira were there for a while too, tag teaming washing dishes, and hanging out with us. While there I also showed @aukuna how to change an ethernet head.

While I was doing my best to give some focus to Hive while helping @aukuna with his computer, it mostly got neglected until I finally returned to the Flow House in the early afternoon to finally do a solid catch-up. Soon after I arrived, Sperry, a new fellow who just got here yesterday, came up to the Flow House to ask if I could change an ethernet head on the ethernet cable in the Bedouin. While he was there, we got into a super engaging, wide-ranging, very integral conversation. He's deeply knowledgeable and aware, combining science and the mystical in ways I rarely encounter in other people, aside from me. Super fascinating conversation indeed!

Once Sperry left, I gave Hive my undivided attention until about 4:30PM, finally catching up enough to be able to go do something else for a while. The first thing I did after leaving the Flow House was to change both ethernet heads on the ethernet cord that Sperry was using.

With that tasks done, I focused on finally finishing the Landing sink drainage pipe and new drainage hole (that surprisingly opened into a lava tube). It took me having to cut a PVC joint in half, then sand it down, to be able to use it as I needed to join two pipes together. I got the pipes cemented together, then gently covered them, and the lava tube opening, with lava rocks in an array of sizes, and then I covered the whole thing with soil once again. It felt great to get it done myself, and not have to wait for Ano to do it.

With that finally done, I put away tools and cleaned the work area. Soon after I strained out more kefir and used it to make my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao deliciousness, then put it in the fridge for later.

My stomach was feeling a little queezy, so I didn't feel like eating. I just returned to the Flow House to do a little more Hive catch-up and token management. I was feeling really tired, so I decided to take a nap for an hour and a half (I set an alarm), so I'd be fresh and awake to write my Let's Learn Linux!: Finding and Installing Software - Issue #6 post, which I did until almost 1AM.

It's now almost 1:30AM, so I think this is an ideal time to wrap up this post and get my cute little tush to sleep! I'm soooooo grateful that I took a nap, or I'd be a zombie by this point! I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow! 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’š
