I try,
To understand the depths of my limitations,
this young girl, searching for validation,
silenced, as she tiptoed her existence,
for fear of what her presence would invoke.
always this scarcity, this limiting mindset,
on borrowed time,
she only lived amongst the trees,
nature her salvation, burrowing into the womb of the earth,
so that she could breathe into her full existence.
To crave a life, in which she would feel nurtured,
denied, the simplest of pleasures, she found her way,
a way to survive, to walk outside the comforts, of mankind.
So embedded into the fabric of her being,
the only way, in which she knew how to be.
To ask them for nothing and therefore, never be deceived.
To understand her desire for distance,
To dance with ease, amongst the elements,
to hold her arms out
as she invited in, subconsciously
that which she called into being,
unaware of her years of conditioning.
