Obrij is a band that started its activity in 2013 as a team of musicians of Uzhhorod hardcore / punk and metal underground. The band mixes old school death metal of European style with doom and hardcore, constantly changing the proportions of these styles in their music and constantly looking for their sound. During its existence, Horizon has released two mini-albums, a split with the band Soulrest, as well as several singles, including joint tracks with hip-hop artist Tulim and vocalist of the capital's hardcore / metal band True Tough Roman.

The band was formed five years ago by two musicians from the local punk band The Symbioz - me and Vasyl Laver, as a third-party project, as our main band was idle due to problems with the lineup. It was decided to play medium-tempo metal, based on the work of Bolt Thrower and Merauder. Gathered a full-fledged lineup, began to rehearse and accumulate material. They gave a number of concerts in Uzhgorod and the region.
Then there was a pause in the activities due to changes in the team. As a result, only the vocalist and guitarist remained from the original line-up, that is, we. Already with new musicians, Horizon began work on recording a four-song mini-album, which he presented in late 2016.

If we approach the lyrical component of our work, a large part of the songs is devoted to the theme of totalitarian regimes and our negative attitude towards them. We believe that modern civilized man does not need a "leader" (leader, Führer, leader, it should be emphasized). And also all the things that are inherent in totalitarian regimes, such as oppression of human rights, freedom of speech, total control over their citizens and so on. Here's another consequence of a long stay in the hardcore / punk scene.
