My Web 3 Journey So Far.

See ,to be very honest, my journey into the web 3 space was not something I planned or even fully understood at the very start, I just saw it as one small corner of the internet where people were writing and somehow earning, I didn’t even know it was web 3 at the time, I remember starting out on a platform called Uptreend, my younger sister had introduced the site to me then, it was a writing space that paid people for their content, that was where the curiosity began, from there, the journey took off gradually.

Yeah.. so after Uptreend, I started hearing more about crypto, airdrops, and all those testnet activities people were doing , it was through some friends I made from that uptrend platform, so I joined some telegram groups that talked about opening Metamask wallets, claiming some random coins, and just tapping here and there, I did not even know what I was doing half the time lol,.....I was just following along, tapping and hoping one day my wallet would boom. Lol….

Yesh.. let’s not even forget the Telegram tap-tap-tap era, If you know, you know. See those times I would be online clicking one bot or the other all in the name of earning a few tokens, It was funny, but looking back now,I think it was all part of the learning process, I won't lie at a point, I almost got tired of everything because it felt like I was just my wasting time, But somehow, I did not let it discourage me, I just told myself that maybe the rewards won’t come now, but someday it will make sense.

Later, I discovered Gfam also my sister brought the info, it was another writing community like Hive, I did really liked it, even though it didn’t last very long but it paid well, and along the line ,I found Hive, and honestly, Hive felt like home. See it is not just a space to write and earn ,it’s also a space where I have met new people, learned from others, and improved my digital skills like all round, is it writing, crypto knowledge, etc.

And one thing I have come to understand is that Web 3 is very wide, like very extremely wide, every time I think I have learnt something, I hear people talking about things like DeFi, NFTs, DApps, staking, mining, and I am just like, “Wow, there is still more.” see you can never know it all here at all , and that is something I have just accepted

At some point, yes, I had doubts, yeah… especially when people around me would say things like “Crypto is a scam” or “All these airdrops are fake.” And see truthfully, sometimes it feels like that when you participate in ten airdrops and nothing comes out of it, but I think the real turning point for me was when I started understanding that it is not just about free money, It is about building, being consistent, staying active, and staying informed you get?..

So I have also learnt a very important lesson, patience; In the web 3 world, you know that nothing comes overnight, you have to show up, be consistent, follow up on the projects that you are in, and just keep learning, That is how you grow A
Also another thing is community, being in the right community, like Hive and some of the other smaller ones I have joined, has really helped , you get support, updates, and encouragement that you won’t get doing it alone.

So far, the part of web 3 I enjoy the most is blogging and community engagement, I love the idea that you can share your thoughts and still earn from it , That is something our traditional social media does not offer, I also like exploring NFT art, though I’m still learning that one,I have couple of NFTs in some wallets , though they have no worth right now… lol..

Web 3 is truly the future, Even though I am still learning, I am happy to be here, and I am not backing out anytime soon ay all, so If you are new, my advice is to be patient, be active, and stay curious. The space might seem wild, but there’s space for everyone.
