“When I tell people I have my boundaries, they smugly raise there eyebrow and say: Why do you need boundaries?...Ah Human, you’ve a long way to go...You’re not open enough - As though I’m obligated to be an open book about every corner of my life. What’s next? Would you like to know the PIN number of my credit card too?”

Americans say that Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are the unalienable rights given to humans by God. Pursuit of happiness – an unending chase to do things that we think increases our serotonin levels? What exactly is happiness to us? What if we spend our whole lives in pursuit of it? Are we ever going to achieve happiness and, as they say, live happily ever after?

Have you ever wondered about the notion that people having more experience know better? Doesn’t this statement sound vague to you? Because to me, it does.If you have ever argued with an old man about something, you probably already know what I’m talking about. He won’t hesitate to falsely reject any of your arguments with statements like “I’ve spent a lifetime in this world” or maybe “My experience in this world is more than your age”. These statements suggest that just because they’ve spent more time on this planet than you have, they are somehow always right.

I’ve often heard people say that it doesn’t matter if we’ve failed over and over again because we should be content with what we get in life. Quite honestly, this mentality drives me nuts. Well of course you’re right, mate. We should be content with what we get in life, but here’s what you’re missing. We should be content with what we get in life - AFTER WE HAVE TRIED OUR BEST TO DO THE BEST WE COULD DO AS MANY TIMES AS WAS POSSIBLE WITH LIMITED RESOURCES THAT WE HAD AVAILABLE.

I was at a restaurant with a friend of mine and we had been waiting for our order to arrive for almost 20 minutes now. I could see him growing frustratingly impatient with every passing moment. At last, he stood up and proposed that we go somewhere else to eat, with that irritated look on his face. I refused because I thought his proposal was irrational. The time it would’ve taken for us to go to another place, order a new meal and wait until it arrives would definitely have been more than we spent waiting where we were right then.
