My Hivelist Growth and Development Plan

2025-03-12T16:55:33
Hivelist has been through a lot of changes over the last 5 years, but the vision has always been the same, building a strong, Hive-powered marketplace and ecosystem. I am going to be honest, I almost gave up, but after learning some hard lessons in my personal life, I knew that it would be a massive mistake to shut down Hivelist. Now, after having figured some things out, it's time to push things even further, and I’m excited to share my plans for the future. Growth isn’t just about getting more users like many think; it’s about becoming more active within the Hive community and continuously improving the business side of things to make Hivelist a real player in the Hive economy. I guess, I really need to hook the people that are already here, then that will help bring more people to the party!

Getting More Involved in the Hive Community

One of the first steps in this growth plan is getting more involved in the community. I’ll be engaging more through Inleo Threads, keeping the discussions going and making sure Hivelist stays on people’s radar. I’m also committing to posting regular updates and community posts to keep everyone informed about what’s happening behind the scenes. The more connected we all are, the stronger the Hive ecosystem becomes.

Expanding Hive-Integrated Tools and Plugins

On the business side, development of Hive-integrated WordPress/WooCommerce plugins has been a big focus. I’ve already built and finished multiple plugins, including different sign-in options, an HBD Hive Keychain payment plugin, and other custom tools that give the Hivelist store a more Hive-native feel. Some of these are already in operation on the store now. But I’m not stopping there. The plan is to continue refining and expanding these tools, making it easier for people to transact and do business on Hive without jumping through hoops.
As I am not getting any kind of public funding for this project, I will be offering these plugins and software tools for sale directly on the Hivelist store. I’ve decided to keep them closed-source and sell them for HBD, which not only helps sustain the project but also builds the e-commerce use case on Hive. This means that anyone running a WordPress site who wants to integrate Hive-based payments and features will have direct access to the tools they need, all while supporting the ecosystem.

Building an Educational Library for Hive

Beyond plugins, I’m also working on adding a huge collection of ebooks and video courses to the Hivelist store. But here’s some bonus alpha, I’ll also be offering business-in-a-box packages that include full resale rights. That means buyers will not only get the educational content but also the necessary materials to set up and run a business using that content. I have a full lifetime reseller license with a content distributor, so I have access to an incredible library of educational material that I can bring to Hive. And, of course, all of it will be available for purchase with HBD, making it another great way to expand real-world use cases for Hive commerce.

Hive Internal Exchange Trading App

In addition to all of this, I am currently developing a Hive internal exchange trading app. This app, which will also be sold on Hivelist, is a trading bot that is already being used by the Hivelist account to trade and generate HBD earnings. These earnings will play a vital role in growing our ecosystem by providing an automated stream of income, something we’ve never had before outside of auto-voting.
All HBD earnings from sales and blockchain activity will be reinvested into building the Hivelist trading account, further strengthening our position and growing the earnings pool for $COM token stakeholders. The bot is set to stake 50% and then reinvest the other 50% into trades, a portion of the staked HBD will be withdrawn every month and then paid out to those $COM stakeholders with 500 or more staked $COM. The HBD will be converted to SWAP.HIVE and paid out. So be patient because the rewards are going to grow over time!

The Future of Hivelist

These are just the beginning stages of Hivelist’s next chapter. The goal is simple: keep building, keep engaging, and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on Hive. One of the biggest upcoming developments is the full rebuild and return of the multivendor functionality of the Hivelist store, but with a more Hive-centric twist. This isn’t just about bringing back the ability for vendors to sell their goods; it’s about evolving Hivelist into a truly decentralized e-commerce powerhouse.
I’m also working on adding auction functionality, which will open up even more opportunities for commerce on Hive. Whether it’s digital goods, physical products, or even unique Hive-based assets, the goal is to create a full on marketplace that can compete with the big players while keeping everything powered by the Hive blockchain.
I have some other plans to help boost the classifieds network beyond what we have working on the Hive-Engine outpost as it has some limitations. This would include a business directory where people could post their businesses that accept HBD and other cryptocurrencies to make it easy for people to find them. This isn't just retail based operations, these can be services, consultants, websites, etc. But this is still in idea phase. If you have any ideas on how to make Hivelist bigger and better than ever, please let me know!

With the right tools and community support, we can create something truly special. But I cannot do it without you! So stay tuned—big things are coming!

Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with you my dudes!
