There are so many good musicians that have crossed through our blockchain space over the years. Sadly, some of them are no longer with us for one reason or another — such as nathankaye, darrenclaxton, and paintingangels — but there are still several here and I will be featuring three of my favorites in this #threetunetuesday post!

I love Raven (@ravenmus1c) and can't say enough good things about her. She came onto our 'legacy chain' in Jan-2018. She has been an active blogger as well as an unstoppable creator of music. She produces her own music and is a collaborator on other projects as well. Those other projects include @brain.candy with Hive musician @elliptique, being part of the PandaBeats consortium, and others. When not producing music in her studio, she is also a drummer in a real-life band (with the yummy name BANANA PANCAKES) in her city!
Hivean @acgalarza recently interviewed Raven for his Podcast "Charla de Vida" where you can hear her view as being an artist on Hive. You can follow her on SoundCloud, YouTube, and buy her music on Bandcamp. Her work is also available for streaming on Spotify as Raven, BeaTraxx, and Binaural Concepts (Meditation & Relaxation Music). Her music was also featured in the PALnet Discord with other blockchain musicians, on rotation in SteeMix and JukeBlox for several years.
One of the things I really admire about Raven is that she is a very down-to-earth lady as well as a talented one. She doesn't let success swell her head. If you join her Discord, you can see she is a sweet, laid-back person who will talk to you about a variety of subjects and appreciates all the feedback she gets. She is delightful!

MenO (@meno) came onto our 'legacy blockchain' in Aug-2017, about a month before I arrived. He was a frequent attendee of the radio shows in the PALnet Discord's MSP Waves service. I can't remember if he had his own show back in the day, but I know he was at least a guest on a couple, and seemed to always be in the audience supporting others, networking, and having fun. He's a cool person to hang with.
Besides being a musician in his own right — playing guitar and singing — he is also a songwriter, composing some of the music he performs. He is also a luthier as well, crafting guitars from scratch! He has a shed behind his house that is filled with Purpleheart wood (genus: Peltogyne) and mahogany and builds some beautiful instruments with his skills.
The following song (titled: "Shining Light") is an original and is quite lovely! MenO shared this song on Discord recently, via an embed that played within Discord. When I heard it, with lyrics talking about "times of tribulation we've endured" and "here we are, living proof that it will be okay, even if the sky turns to gray," I thought it was a general song about the rocky times we live in now, all of us. And, the chorus was so uplifting:

Only when I clicked the embed to visit his YouTube page, I learned that MenO said this song "...jumped into my heart and into my head. Thinking of the life my wife and I have built together." So, it was a song for his wife, not the rest of us, but hey, it fits and I'm taking it for all of us, too — there's nothing wrong with a song's having two meanings! 😂 Follow MenO on YouTube and say "Hello" to him in the official Hive Discord next time you're there, and thank him for sharing this charming song!
D-Vine (@d-vine) joined our blockchain world in Nov-2017, and I also remember her being active in PALnet, with her music in the SteeMix and JukeBlox rotation there. She attended at least one Blockparty in-person meetup where some lucky folks were able to meet her (sadly, I wasn't there). She produces electronic music in at least two or three different genres, and much of it is quite catchy!
After being active on-chain for several years, some trials and challenges forced her to be inactive for a while, but she is back now and making new music! She has a shiny, new SoundCloud page but there's still some great gems on her old SoundCloud page which should not be ignored. Check her blog (@d-vine) for links to her work on many other sites.
Two or three of D-Vine's songs are standouts, but probably my favorite is "Awake" (tied closely with "Ascension").
