I've always been fascinated when heart shapes ♥ appear in the real world without a human explicitly putting them there. There are some leaves that are heart-shaped, such as those on the Eastern Redbud tree (Cercis canadensis) in North America as well as the Sacred Fig (or Bodhi Tree, Ficus religiosa) in India and Indochina. Hearts can appear in clouds, in the gaps of leaves on trees, in rocks, and other places. I wrote a post a few years ago that included several Heart-Shaped apparitions which I found, most of them naturally occurring.
On a walk back up the driveway to my house one evening, I glanced to my left and saw a heart-shaped opening in the leaves on the trees. The top of the shape was formed by trees close to me, while the bottom of the shape was formed by trees in the distance. Sure, it's not a perfect heart, but it's close enough for me! ♥ I thought it was lovely!
And then one evening late last summer, I saw the sun setting behind some other trees on my property, and the sun was backlighting another heart shaped gap in the leaves over on the next block from my house. Again, not perfect, but close enough! 😁
Another evening as darkness was falling, I looked up and saw this one. It might appear almost as if I am actively looking for these things, but I promise I am not. They just appear. 😂
Not far from where I currently live, there is a property that operates as a small farm. The owner has a few cows that happily graze in a pasture with a small farm pond in one corner near the tree line. The pond cannot be seen from the road, as the field angles downhill away from the road. I didn't even know there was a pond there until I explored the area via "satellite view" in Google Maps. I was surprised when I discovered a cute, somewhat heart-shaped pond there! 😁
I was a big fan of the television show "The Big Bang Theory" when it was on the air. There were many witty comments made in each episode. I remember one exchange between Amy and Penny in Season 4 Episode 10 ("The Alien Parasite Hypothesis") which was quite amusing:
Amy Farrah Fowler:
Did you know the iconic heart shape isn't based on an actual human heart, it's based on what a woman's rear end looks like bending over?
Penny:
So in 8th grade, I was dotting my i's with little asses? That's cool! [source]
Do you see hearts in unexpected places, too...?
And have you ever seen a polka dotted vehicle?
